Events - Highlights of 2011

Outings

This year we had a full and interesting year. We were privileged to visit estates like Babylonstoren, Rustenberg and Old Nectar.

Workshops

Unusual workshops were attended. Starting a hanging basket and a basic garden design course in a members garden was well attended.

Guest Speakers

Diverse subjects were presented at our monthly meetings, from planting extra -large trees, this year at the Chelsea Flower show,and a floral demo for Christmas.

Garden Competition

Held to encourage our residents to beautify the area and improve the environment.

Durbanville in Bloom Weekend

Our big annual fund raiser held in November this year, with open gardens, outdoor tea garden and plant sales.
